DEVELOPMENT

The photographs show the prototype MK IX HAWK presented for pre-order in 2019.

This stunning model was in scale with our 44inch EAGLE TRANSPORTER STUDIO REPLICA COLLECTION and featured authentic weathering, details and the orange colour scheme of the studio miniature as seen on screen in the episode WARGAMES. It was repainted for filming after delivery to the studio by designer and model maker Martain Bower. The thinking by the studio was the original white colour scheme was too close in look to the EAGLE TRANSPORTERS.

The prototype model was loaned by Space: 1999 collector and expert, Gordon Moriguchi and enhanced further for production purposes.

Sadly, due to the very low take up in pre-orders combined with the start of increases in manufacturing costs in China at that time, we were unable to proceed into full production with this release.
